Holiday apartment in the quietest part of the Algarve - Portugal, right next to the Spanish Andalusian, which is just across the river, with ferry every half hour.
Our flat it's comfortable, being its location his major advantage, because it´s close to everything in the city.
He has two bedrooms, one with a couple bed, a smaller room with two beds and two extra sofa bed in the living room - for an occasional guest.
The main attraction of "Vila Real de Santo António", as you can see in the pictures, are their large beaches, with golden and thin sand, with place to everyone. The sea is generally calm, normally with a great water temperature, abnormally high on the Atlantic coast, especially in the afternoons. Sea water temperatures generally peak in the range 21 to 23°C in August.
The city it’s relatively quiet, even in the top of the summer, but has a good nightlife, people in the streets, bars of all kinds, some with live music and karaoke.
Every Thursday night there is a confectionery and craft fair in the city centre (5 minutes walk), occasionally antique fairs, folklore shows and other events.
To the near beach (2 km) you can go by car or on city touristic train, but also by bus to Monte Gordo beach, which is about 5 km.

We generally prefer to walk to the beach, because it’s a pleasant 20 minutes walk through of a Mediterranean pine forest.
You can also go cycling. We have two bicycles in the apartment, as well as all standard beach and fishing equipment, which are naturally available to our guests.
If you decide to travel by car, there are plenty of free parking spaces in Vila Real, very close to our home.
There are restaurants for all tastes and prices, recommending especially seafood dishes and Algarve desserts, based on almonds, fig and carob.
Who likes to restless nights (and don’t fears Covid) Monte Gordo it’s the place to go in the evening, because there you can find all kinds of diversions, from the Casino, the cuisine of different backgrounds, all kinds of bars, ice cream shops, cafes and nightclubs.
