Because of the fact that we don't want to carry all the toys and stuff... : / ; )...
We prefer to do a HOUSESWAP WITH FAMILIES with (a) kid (s)... Sorry for that...
Unfortunately our only possibilities to swap houses is during our KIDS-SCHOOLHOLIDAYS.
And we prefer the swap to be in a DRIVING DISTANCE from Amsterdam. FLIGHTS ONLY IN SUMMER.

Our house is located in the newly designed Eastern Harbour District, just to the east of the city centre and located on Borneo-island.
If you're interested in Architecture, our area is very popular amongst architectual tourist and students.
Daily shopping is on walking distance and public transportation (tram, bus and train) are also conveniently closeby. In 15 minutes you're in the centre city centre of Amsterdam. Central station is 7 minutes by tram.

Our house 120 sq m, divided over 3 floors>
The bedroom of the oldest son (doublebed) is on the groundfloor, included a TV-room (with Wii + Xbox 360), where you can change the couch into an extra sleepingbed.
On the first floor (bunk bed) is the bedroom of the youngest with a lot of space to play. All the toys are there too.
Plus the (BRAND NEW) bathroom with bathtub and seperate shower and toilet are also at the first floor.
Our livingroom is on the 2nd floor with the (BRAND NEW) kitchen. Very light and the most spacious area of the house.
The master bedroom is next to the roofterrace which we love. The lovely cosy roofterrace with all day sun (if there is any : ) is a favorite place to have dinners or just to chill on the outdoor couch.

We have an in-house parkingspace, which is very covenient in an expensive parking area. In Amsterdam we don't have such a thing as a special-guest-parking-permit. So if you bring your car, you don't have any parking costs and you have a safe place to park the car.

We are a family of 4. With a boy who will turn 14 in September and a little boy will turn 6 in August. They can play outside in front of the house. There's a nice green area with playground. A lot of neighbours have their picknicktable in front of the house. Very nice on sunny days...

You can swim close to our home in the water surrounding our island. A popular spot for youth.
And we give you a list of where-to-go-to (inside info from citizen's), the not touristic-version if you prefer that, like we do... : )

We would love to have short holidays in cities for a week or more weeks in summer outside the cities and near the ocean, lake or a swimmingpool. We love to surf (it's been a while though), so anything near a nice surfspot is absolutely wonderful
: )

There's our favorite beach to go to where we surf. It's about 40 km by car, but it's a really nice escape from the city.
And questions about the area can always be asked to us. Just send an e-mail. Maybe you think you should stay in the citycentre. But some area's are way too touristic and way too busy...
The island is a fresh lovely escape and wonderful for families. The citycentre starts 5 minutes away... Lovely shops, places to have lunch of coffee... We will make you a list of the real Amsterdam... ;-)
