We live in an extended and fully modernised 18th century stone cottage located in a quiet village at the side of Rudyard Lake.
The cottage has 2 double bedrooms (one with en-suite shower) and a third combined study/bedroom with futon. There is a separate bathroom.
Alongside the house is a sunny patio area. The upper garden has far-reaching views of the Pennine hills.
We would like you to feel comfortable in our home. Our friendly neighbours will answer any questions you may have about the locality. We will look after your home as we would our own.

Il nostro quartiere

We have lived here for 8 years and never tire of the beautiful location of our house. It is in a quiet country village, surrounded by hills and woodland, in the Peak District area of England. We live 100 metres from a 4 km long lake where we can fish, walk and hire boats. A steam railway runs at the side of the lake, which is just one of several in the area. There is a hotel/restaurant 100 metres from the house.
The market town of Leek, 5 km away, offers all amenities including swimming, tennis and golf. There are many pubs and restaurants and a market is held each Wednesday and Saturday.
The local area offers good walking and cycling tracks. Horse riding is also available. The Roaches, 8 km away, is a famous rock climbing area.
There are numerous historic houses, including Chatsworth, within an hour's travel by car.
A little further afield is the well known theme park at Alton Towers (10 km), the spa town of Buxton (15 km) and the ceramic potteries of Stoke on Trent (15 km) where cinemas, theatres and ten pin bowling are available. Leek is 20 km from the M6 motorway which links to London (3 hours) the Lake District mountains (2 hours) and the beaches and mountains of North Wales (1 ½ hours). There are fast rail links to London (2 hours) and to Scotland.
