Dear Intervac community
In 2026 we are thinking about short weekend home exchanges starting in Mid-September of 2026.
We can offer a bright apartment on the third floor to the west of Innsbruck sleeping 4 to 5 people with a nice terrace facing south plus garage. Leavy and quiet surroundings, playgrounds, shopping facilities nearby and very good and frequent public transport to the city centre
(ca. 15 min. by tram or bus).
In and around Innsbruck you will find mountains, mountain lodges, hiking, biking and climbing facilities, lakes, restaurants, sights, cultural events; theatre, dance and music summer festivals; shopping facilities, ski resorts and sports events.
From Innsbruck you can easily reach many skiing, biking and climbing destinations including Axamer Lizum, Rangger Köpfl, Nordkette - Hafelekar, Patscherkofel, Stubai glacier, Kühtai or Seefeld, you can set out on hiking/bike tours in the surrounding villages and mountains, swim in lakes (e.g. Lanser See; Natterer See, Möserer See, Seefeld, Achensee) or go on day trips to Salzburg, Germany (Bavaria, Munich) as well as Italy (Southern Tyrol, Bolzano, Meran, Verona and its wineries), about 2 hours by train or car each.
So far, we have exchanged places with families, with some of them even twice, from Arenzano, Italy; Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Sintra, Portugal; London, Firenze, Wien, Roma, Uppsala, Madrid, Copenhagen, Berkeley, CA,Tarragona and Simrishamn, Sweden, and we enjoyed each one.

Innsbruck: ca. 150 000 inhabitants: both, urban and Alpine town in Tyrol, Austria: Restaurants, shopping, mountain lodges, sights, events and theatre, dance and music festivals; ski resorts; sports events and excursions in and around Innsbruck.
Innsbruck is a university town which attracts many young people from all over the world. Both, tourists and locals, enjoy the many Alpine sports facilties like hiking, climbing, skiing, snowboarding, biking, which Innsbruck and its surrounding villages offer.
In winter we love back country and off slope skiing and in summer we go hiking and biking and swim in mountain lakes.
