Welcome to Bologna, the Learned, the Fat and the Red city

Piazza Maggiore is the ancient heart of Bologna: its medieval buildings, witnesses of its vibrant public life and intense economic activity, combine with the latest functional places, while retaining their charm. A network of unique porticoed streets, that make the city unique, branches off from here. The porticos of Bologna, candidated for UNESCO world heritage, stretch out from the city center over 40 kilometers.
Walking under the porticos, protected from the sun and the rain, it is possible to reach easily many important museums, galleries and religious buildings, which hold an unexpected patrimony of works of art.
The University of Bologna is the oldest in Europe. The evidence of its prestigious history is spread out in many city places not to be missed.
A completely unexpected surprise are the canals that date back to the twelfth century.

Bologna is a city of extraordinary sociability and vitality. The streets of the historical city center sparkle with life at any time of day and until late at night.
In the charming streets close to Piazza Maggiore, where the lively and picturesque old market (Mercato di Mezzo) winds through the shops of typical products, a must is an aperitif either in an old osteria (tavern) or, after a walk through the luxurious shops, in a trendy venue.
The evening range of proposals is extraordinarily rich and goes from the many places with live music to the simple but refined osterie (taverns) open until late at night. And then the prestigious theaters, the several cinemas, discos and, during summer, the whole town which turns into a lively open-air stage.

The culinary tradition of Bologna is famous worldwide thanks to its culinary specialties such: mortadella, tagliatelle, green lasagna, ragù, tortellini, fritto misto, cotoletta, friggione and many more. Dishes that you can discover, learn to cook in the cooking classes and enjoy the restaurants of the city.

We live in a very green quiet area  very well served:  there is a mall in the surroundings (with a food market, a pharmacy, a post office and a bank) and bus stations at brief walk distance.
We are close to the City Center (4 km), Train Station (3 km), Airport (6 km) and Highway (2 km).
We have one of the most important railway station in Italy, that could link you to any other place in Italy. By train, you can easily reach Florence (35 minutes), Milan (60 minutes), Venice (90 minutes), Rome (120 minutes), Verona (52 minutes), Ravenna (60 minutes), Rimini (52 minutes), Parma (50 minutes), Modena (19 minutes), Ferrara (22 minutes) and many others. We have a lot of green area and sport activity nearby (football, basketball, swimmingpool ...). Therefore you can enjoy your days visiting Bologna (or the surroundings) and relax when you go back home, at night.

FICO Eataly World - the largest agri-food park in the world - is based in the suburbs of the city and you can get more infos about the wonders of Italian biodiversity on the following link https://www.eatalyworld.it/en/

Along the Via Emilia the motorsport factories presence is huge: you can find Ferrari in Maranello, Lamborghini in S. Agata Bolognese, Maserati in Modena and Ducati in Bologna. Every single brand offers the opportunity to visit factory and museum(
