As husband and wife architects, it was our dream to build our own home. We were lucky to find this vacant lot in Pacifica, a small quiet beach community just south of San Francisco. The main level with one bedroom, one and a half baths, the kitchen and living areas and a large deck with outdoor barbecue is handicapped accessible right from the driveway. Downstairs you’ll find one more bedroom, shared with the laundry, one bath, one home office space with printers and room for a queen air mattress, and a lovely garden. Also downstairs in the area that is cross hatched on the plan is a one bedroom unit with a bedroom with a king bed, living space with a small kitchen, full bath, shaded outdoor deck and it's own private entrance. Our adult son is currently living in this space, and it would be available for your use only if he is traveling with us, which can be discussed/negotiated. It is separated by a door and fire/sound separation, so if he is there your full privacy is maintained. Photos of the recently reorganized downstairs spaces coming soon. The house is all electric, solar powered.

Keep in mind that coastal California can often be foggy in the summer, but you don’t have to far to find sun and all that San Francisco and the Bay Area have to offer.

We sometimes travel with our adult children, Elisa and her partner Zach and/or David, and sometimes just the two of us.
