House in south of Scania, Sweden
NOTE: Vi already have an exchange for summer 2026
My husband and I love to make shorter trips together (with our dog if possible) and many different countries are on our wishing list. For summer a longer exchange is wanted. Sometimes our grown up children like to acompany us.
Our home at the seaside is a perfect spot to discover two Scandinavian countries at one vacation. We live close to the border and the bridge between Sweden and Denmark. We have Denmarks capital Copenhagen and Sweden's third largest city Malmö conveniently close.
Our house is comfortable and spacious and the surroundings are really lovely. The beach is just a short walk away and summer time we share a small bridge with our neighbours.
The garden is mostly south-facing and we have a play area and lots of flowers. We have patios in three directions so it is possible to enjoy both sun and shade.
Our home is situated on Söderslätt, a beautiful area in the very south of Sweden (http://www.sesoderslatt.se) and (http://www.soderslatt.com). It's famous for the seashores and great food and close to our home there are some very good restaurants (http://www.idalagard.dk/idalagard/hem.html) and (http://www.hedmanskrog.com/)
Within less than an hour drive with car you can reach cities such as Copenhagen, Malmö, Lund and Ystad.

Two kilometers away is the old harbour of Gislövs läge (http://www.gislovs-lage.se/) where you can buy fresh fish or just take a cup of coffee (http://www.stetti.se/karta.html)
Within an hour drive you can reach cities such as Copenhagen, Malmö, Lund and Ystad. The famous region of Österlen is olso close (http://www.osterlen.se/).

Wunderbar unkompliziert, schönes Haus in toller Lage! Sehr gerne wieder!
We enjoyed a good exchange with Petter and Lillemor, they are very relaxed and easy to deal with. Their home is accurately represented and spacious, three bedrooms are upstairs, one is downstairs next to the garage, - a bit of a teenage den, and the fifth is an office with a sofa bed. It is a relaxed home, good for families with children. We enjoyed the outside spaces to sit in the garden. The beach nearby did have a lot of smelly seaweed, so was not so great, but 30 minutes drive away there were beautiful beaches. The local area is very quiet and flat, good for cycling, it was nice to use the bicycles they left for us. We exchanged cars, and they were kind to let us have the pass to use the bridge/ tunnel to Copenhagen which we enjoyed.
