Gorgeous view from modern apartment near Aarhus, Denmark

Our home is a 120m2 modern apartment on 3rd floor of a 6 story building - high enough to give a magnificent view of the town of Skanderborg and its beautiful lake and woods behind it. The view can be enjoyed through the panorama windows in the main living room, or from one of the two large balconies facing east and south.
As part of the main living room, there is a nice kitchen with all the appliances you need for cooking and baking. The whole family can easily be together when cooking, either on one side or the other, of the broad kitchen counter.
The living room also has an electric piano and a guitar, if you are into that.
There is a regular bedroom with a 180cm double bed, a teenage room with a single bed (and a magnificent view as well) and an office with a sleeping couch 120cm wide - for one or two persons.
A spacious bathroom with toilet, douche, and washing-machine + dryer.
There is an elevator, or you can take the stairs.
It takes at most 10 minutes to walk to the train station, from where you can:
- Get to/from Aarhus (2nd largest city in DK) in 15 minutes
- Get to/from Copenhagen center in less than 3 hours
- Get to/from Copenhagen airport (CPH) in less than 3 hours
- Get to/from Billund airport (BLL) by bus in about an hour.
The freeway E45 is 5 minutes away.
A perfect base for exploring Denmark either by train or by car - or just to enjoy!

About the neighborhood
The immediate neighborhood is quiet and children-friendly, with playgrounds just outside. Reserved parking space for one car just outside. 8 pcs 11KW chargers for EV's in the parking lot.
Skanderborg is a cozy town, mostly known for its festival in the beginning of august with 50.000 people gathering in the beech woods south of town. The rest of the year it is more quiet, with a shopping street with good stores and a shopping centre. Beautiful, due to the lake that the town is built around.
We live a 20 min drive from Århus, the 2nd biggest city in Denmark, and approx. 3 hours drive from Copenhagen. The apartment is within 10 min walking distance from the train station, from where it takes only 15 mins to get to the heart of Aarhus, and less than 3 hours to Copenhagen. There are direct trains to/from Copenhagen (CPH) airport. Billund (BLL) airport can also be reached by bus from the station.
The surroundings are particularly beautiful with many hills and lakes all around - have a look at google maps to get an impression.
Within a good hours drive you can reach numerous amusement parks, including Legoland.

When we arrived to the house everything was prepared for us, all the details were taken care of, the house was clean and matched the photos perfectly well. Dimensions were there, the view was ashtonishing as in the photos: all green with the lake behind. There were all the details perfectly chosen for us: all we could need for a nice breakfast, all we could need for an appetizer, even for lunch and a nice bottle of wine on the table. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances and as a part of the living room it was cozzy and neat. Anders was very kind and attentive at all times, giving all the indications that were needed, solving our doubts and giving us nice tips for the trip. We also exchanged cars which was very convenient since it was a very comfortable electric car with the charging included. The location of the house is excellent. The experience was high standard and we are really grateful to the whole family for their kindness:)

The apartment is normally inhabited by myself, Anders Jørgensen (from 1970), and my daughter Tilde (from 2008) and our cat, Cookie (from 2013). I have two older kids as well, Anton (1999) and Ludvig (2001) who live in Copenhagen and Aarhus respectively. The kids' mother Helle lives here in Skanderborg as well.
Anders is a software developer, and currently work in the music industry, in a company that produces sound equipment for amateur and professional musicians.
Tilde is in boarding school right now, but will move back and start highschool in the summer 2025.
We may want to do exchanges with you in different constellations, from just the two of us to the whole family, including Anton's girlfriend and the kids' mother, so up to 6 people.
We will need for you to take care of the cat. It is not much work, but it means you can not be away for more than 2 days at a time, maximum.
