The beach house is directly opposite the beach at the seaside village of New Brighton located within the Byron Shire of Northern New South Wales, Australia. The Byron Shire is one of the most beautiful areas in Australia and attracts many international visitors.

New Brighton and surrounding beaches are pristine surfing and fishing beaches and waterways, fringed by coastal rainforest reserves. They have long stretches of white sandy beach to take lazy walks and enjoy the views.

There is a General Store and Cafe within walking distance and a cycleway linking neighbouring centres of Ocean Shores and South Golden Beach. Each Tuesday there’s the Farmers Market.

Just up the road and within walking distance there is an 18 hole Championship Golf Course at Ocean Shores. This is also a good place to enjoy a drink and have breakfast, lunch or dinner. A supermarket at Ocean Shores is a 2 minute drive from the house.

Brunswick heads, its restaurants and boutique shops are a 5 minute drive away while the trendy Byron Bay is only 15 minutes drive away. However, if you are just looking for a relaxing stay at the beach, there is no need to go anywhere else. If you want to explore, then Northern NSW is amazing with its array of beautiful beaches and the majesty of its hinterlands. We recommend doing the Minyon Falls bush walk where you can enjoy the smells and sounds of the rainforest and view the waterfall.

An entrance to New Brighton beach is directly across the street (the sand is just 20 metres away) from the house. The first 1 km (approximately) of beach north and south of the entrance is dog friendly. The gives the beach a great family atmosphere.

You can sit on a bench seat, on the dunes, opposite the house, and get sea glimpses and relax to the sound of the waves. You can also sit on the back deck and enjoy the privacy of the back garden of the house.
