We live on Madeira Island, the most beautiful Portuguese Island, situaded in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean with breathtaking landscapes.
We live in 180 square meters apartment in the first floor with elevator. It has 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and an office where you can find 2 computers with free access to the internet. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious as well as the living room and the dinner room. We have 2 balconies, the smaller one belongs to guest room and the bigger one has access through the living room. The bigger balcony is suitable to have meals or a drink at any time of the day.
In the neighbourhood there are a few ATM machines, at least 2 banks (in the center of the city there are quite a few), several good restaurants, a bakery that has fresh bread at any time of the day and a couple of take ways.
Nearby, at about 500 meters there is a stadium and a big supermarket. The sea is about 5 minutes by car (Praia Formosa), with a nice promenade and quite a few nice bars. The sea water is always warm. If you are not keen of the beach there are a couple of swimming pools, one of which is about 5 to 10 minutes by walk from our house in Quinta Magnolia.
By the sea you can find swimming pools like the Lido Complex, Ponta Gorda or Doca do Cavacas, all about 3 to 5 minutes by car from our house (you can see in the photosor google it).
You can as well enjoy the mountains and do the walking through the Levadas. There as well a few gardens that you can visit.
If you enjoy going for a run, you can find very nice promenades where to practice this kind of sport.
