We have already agreed exchanges for the Spring and Summer of 2025 therefore are only available for long weekends this year or suggestions for 2026. |
A 3 bedroom family home and garden conveniently located in Cork City, recently voted the 3rd friendliest city in the world by Condé Nast Travel readers survey!
We live in a three bed room house in a quiet residential area within walking distance to city centre, train station, bus station and local amenities. It's only a 15 minute drive from Cork International Airport. Our home comprises of 3 double bed rooms, one of which is currently used as an office and gaming room. An inflatable double bed is available should it be required. Our eldest’s single room is a mid sleeper and therefore more suitable for a child of 5 years or older. We have bunk beds and a single bed in the boys room. As a family we tend to spend most our time in the kitchen/diner area which opens out onto our garden and patio where we eat during the Summer months. Our family bathroom is upstairs and an additional shower room is located off the utility room and downstairs bedroom/playroom.
Our garden and patio is south facing and benefits from the sun in the Summer and we have built a traditional wood burning sauna which we hope you enjoy as much we do.

About Our Family
We are a family of 5, Sinead (50), Philip (55) Oliver (16) Ruaidhrí (13) and Senan (11). This will be our 16th exchange and we are very excited to discover new countries, make new friends and share our home with families who are interested in spending some time discovering Ireland.
Lifestyle
As a family we love to travel and the excitement of exploring new places. The kids love swimming and sport in general, football, soccer and hurling being their favourites. Reading music and gaming is another love of theirs. Sinéad enjoys running, cycling and swimming while Phil prefers soccer and is a keen music fan, particularly live music. We enjoy good food and usually try to learn about the local gastronomy, farmer’s markets and nice local restaurants.

ES1017589They were incredibly kind and made us feel truly at home from the very first moment. Their children, of similar ages to ours, made enjoying the city even more rewarding, allowing us to experience the true spirit of a home exchange, see what life could be like in another country, and escape mass tourism. The house was exactly as shown in the listing, cozy, well-equipped, and in a lovely setting that allowed us to fully enjoy our stay.

IE49904We had a lovely time in cork . The families home was lovely and just as described. Good communication throughout the exchange.
Would highly recommend.

Travedona Monate, Italy
IT49237The house was not very clean when we arrived and cold (around 17 degrees). It was possible to increase the heating in a limited mode only and after the remarks from the owners that the heating is very expensive in Ireland. There were a lot of food leftovers in the fridge and kitchen. The house is accurately presented in the intervac page.
