Nice family apartment centrally located in Reykjavík, Iceland

A four bedroom apartment in duplex house in Reykjavík. Great location, with Iceland's top swimming pool close by and a 30 minute walk from downtown Reykjavík. There are 4 bedrooms, two kids rooms, one with a kids bunk bed and one of the rooms is in the basement. We can arrange for full size beds in there if needed. We have got most things you would need for kids of different ages, strollers, high chairs etc.
You can go enjoy endless day tours from Reykjavik and explore the beautiful landscapes and nature near by or take longer tours around the country.

Our house is a duplex and our downstairs neighbours are wonderful. We have everything you would need in a home, a large laundry room, nice garden, private parking. We offer to exchange cars and we have a 2019 Toyota RAV4 with a top box, perfect for travelling around the country.

Neighborhood

About the neighborhood

Our apartment is situatied in a great neighbourhood close to the town center.
Reykjavik's largest public pool is a 8 minute walk from the apartment, and next to that is Reykjavik's largest city park, petting zoo, botanical garden and the national football stadium. There is a coffee shop, ice cream parlor, pizza place, restaurant in a few minutes walk from our house.
It takes around 30 minutes to walk to the heart of downtown Reykjavik and you can either walk along the coast line or through the town. There are alse two bus stops (routes 12 and 14) close by.

We had a lovely time the three weeks we stayed in Portland and Oregon during the summer of 2023. The neighbourhood and the house were very nice, close to Irving Park where the kids wanted to spend hours on end. Becky and Jason were very helpful and everything concerning the exchange worked very well. Very much recommended! :)

We had a wonderful three week stay at Anna and Valery's house in Pak Nam Pran. A month after we got back home, when this is written, we are still amazed at how well this home exchange turned out. Anna and Valery were very helpful in the months before we travelled to Thailand, gave us lots of good recommendations. They even gave us a blueprint for a week-long and unforgettable trip further south. The house was fabulous, with a great private pool which the kids enjoyed greatly. Air-con, two bathrooms, everything we needed, and it really exceeded our expectations. We also exchanged cars and we found the car essential in the area. We were very happy with the home exchange and Anna and Valery were great guests in our home, no complaints :)
